Therapist Bios

  • Anna received her Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling from The Citadel. She has experience treating patients in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric facilities, as well as in school-based and home-based programs. She has been in private practice since 2005 and offers individual therapy services to patients ages 12 and older.

    Anna also has training and experience in treating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and other mood disorders, disruptive behavior, relationship problems, adjustment disorders, grief/loss, sexual disorders, and LGBTQ+ specific issues. Her practice is designed to evaluate and treat general psychiatry patients using psychotherapy and case management to include and recommend other ancillary treatments to improve her patients' overall functioning and maximize their quality of life.

  • Christina received her undergraduate in Psychology from Winthrop University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from The Citadel. She provides individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults ages 5 and older. She has training and experience in treating PTSD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and other mood disorders, adjustment disorder, sexual disorder, and LGBTQ+ related concerns. Christina also has experience working with military personnel, spouses, and families.

    ​Christina's practice is designed to evaluate and treat general psychiatry patients using an eclectic approach incorporating psychotherapy techniques and a cognitive behavioral foundation to assist individuals in meeting their goals and improving their quality of life. Recommendations of ancillary treatment services may be made as necessary, and she will work to coordinate with additional providers to ensure continuity of care for the patient.

  • As a National Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor, Kara is deeply committed to supporting her patients in their mental and emotional well-being. Her approach is rooted in evidence-based therapeutic methods, blending cognitive-behavioral therapies with patient-centered approaches. This ensures that therapy is tailored uniquely to you, respecting your individuality while drawing from proven strategies.

    After earning her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, she has continued to hone her expertise through numerous professional development courses and workshops. I have training and experience related to the treatment of Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, and other mood disorders, ADHD, PTSD, grief and loss, and LGBTQIA+ specific issues for ages 8 and older.

  • Jerry received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina. He double majored and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. He went on to receive his Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology from The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. Jerry has been working in the counseling field for over 25 years and has experience with both inpatient and outpatient facilities.

    ​He has been in private practice since 2003 and provides individual, couple, and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. He sees children as young as 5 years old and seems to have success reaching challenging children/adolescents.

    Jerry also has training and experience related to the treatment of Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, and other mood disorders, disruptive behavior, ADHD, adjustment disorders, PTSD, grief and loss, sexual disorders, and LGBTQ+ specific issues. Jerry also has experience working with Level 1 Autism Spectrum Disorders. While he is not an ABA therapist, his personality and therapeutic approach have been successful in helping this underserved population.

    Additionally, ​he has specific training in the treatment of individuals with sexual behavior problems. Jerry is a Clinical and Fellow member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers and provides therapy for child/adolescents who have engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior.

    His practice is designed to evaluate and treat general psychiatric patients using a combination of psychotherapy techniques and cognitive behavioral interventions to improve overall functioning and maximize quality of life. Through case management, ancillary treatment services may be recommended to support our therapeutic approach.

  • Madison received his Master of Education and Educational Specialist Degree from the University of South Carolina and his Ph.D. in Counselor Education from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. 

    His career began at Dorchester District II schools, where he worked as a school counselor. While in this position, he also co-facilitated classes for the University of North Carolina. Madison began his private practice in 2004, leaving education in 2010 and working full-time in private practice. 

    He has training and experience in treating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, other mood disorders, attention disorders, adjustment disorders, grief/loss, ADHD, and defiant behavior in children and adolescents. 

    Madison offers individual and couples therapy services and treats ages 8 and older. He utilizes Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused strategies in his sessions which tend to be briefer in duration. He is also trained in hypnosis, which can be used to enhance therapy.

Prescriber Bios

  • Dr. Jones received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology from the University of Notre Dame, his M.D. from the University of Kentucky, and completed his Residency and Fellowship in Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina.

    Dr. Jones worked as a Staff Psychiatrist at the South Carolina Department of Mental Health for 25 years. He has also been a Staff Psychiatrist with The Disabilities Board of Charleston for the past 20 years.

    Dr. Jones has been with our practice for over 15 years, specializing in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

  • Nicholas received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from University of Delaware and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Charleston Southern University. He has been in healthcare since 2016, with experience as a family medicine physician assistant and, before that, as an exercise physiologist. He has training and experience in treating PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Insomnia, Attention Disorders, Adjustment Disorders, and LGBTQ+ specific concerns.

    It will always be a top priority of his to display compassionate, sincere, and empathetic patient care for every encounter. Nicholas is deeply committed to life-long learning, attention to detail, and providing the highest quality of care to each patient. He is motivated to create a nurturing and comfortable patient care environment for all patients to help them improve their quality of life and achieve the goals that they desire.   • Ashley Robinson is a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with experience providing compassionate and comprehensive care to individuals across the lifespan since 2015. Specializing in both family medicine and mental health, Ashley is committed to delivering holistic care that addresses both physical and emotional well-being.

    Ashley has achieved the highest level of honor with a Doctoral degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is also board-certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). She brings a unique blend of expertise in managing chronic medical conditions, mental health disorders, and social dynamics, using evidence-based practices to guide treatment.

    With a strong passion for supporting patients through both medical and psychological challenges, Ashley works collaboratively with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams to create personalized care plans. Whether addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, or physical health concerns, she strives to empower patients to achieve optimal health outcomes. Outside of clinical practice, Ashley is dedicated to ongoing professional development and advancing the field of nurse practitioner care through education and advocacy.​
