Madison received his Master of Education and Educational Specialist Degree from the University of South Carolina and his Ph.D. in Counselor Education from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
His career began at Dorchester District II schools, where he worked as a school counselor. While in this position, he also co-facilitated classes for the University of North Carolina. Madison began his private practice in 2004, leaving education in 2010 and working full-time in private practice.
He has training and experience in treating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, other mood disorders, attention disorders, adjustment disorders, grief/loss, ADHD, and defiant behavior in children and adolescents.
Madison offers individual, couple, and couples therapy services and treat patients ages 8 and older. He utilizes Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused strategies in his sessions which tend to be briefer in duration. He is also trained in hypnosis, which can be used to enhance therapy.
